First Workshop on “How-to-write a LIFE Proposal”

The LIFE Cyclamen team organised the first Workshop on “How-to-write a LIFE Proposal”, part of a series of workshops to be delivered in 2020. The workshop took place in Nicosia on Friday, February 28th 2020.

The purpose of this workshop was to explain how the LIFE Programme works, starting from the very beginning with the Call of Proposals until the submission of Proposals. More specific, the workshop focused on defining the environmental problem, the objectives, the expected results and the actions that will help in achieving these results.

This first workshop began with a presentation touching upon the above mentioned topics and the overall thinking when writing a LIFE Proposal. Following this, participants worked in groups on preparing a LIFE Proposal. For this practical part of the workshop participants focused on:

  • Identifying the environmental problem targeted;
  • Indicating related thematic priorities and project topics;
  • Designing actions to tackle causes of and impacts to the environmental problem; and
  • Identifying the environmental impact in a qualitative and quantitative way.
