The LIFE Cyclamen team hosted a Networking Event / Final Conference (of the Cyclamen project), which was held in the form of:
- A live streaming experience sharing event, on Wednesday November 3rd 2021
- Bilateral virtual meetings (from November 3rd until December 10th, 2021)
- An on-site networking event, on Thursday November 11th 2021, in Nicosia, Cyprus
Current and past LIFE beneficiaries joined LIFE applicants, as well as LIFE enthusiasts who didn’t have the chance to apply for funding yet. Through the exchange of experiences and with the opportunity to have 1:1 virtual meetings with others we hoped to assist participants in forming new collaborations that will lead to new LIFE Proposals.
Participants of the live streaming experience sharing event got to hear about the achievements of the LIFE Cyclamen project, as well as learn from the experience of our guest speakers, who came from the projects: NATURE 4 CITY LIFE (Region Sud – Provence, Alpes, Côte d’Azur), LIFE IP 4 NATURA (Green Fund, Greece), LIFE MEDEA (University of Cyprus Medical School) and LIFE NATURA THEMIS (Natural History Museum of Crete). They also benefited from the year-long experience of the LIFE National Contact Points of Greece, Italy and Spain.
Lastly, at the on-site networking event public and private stakeholders, from Cyprus and abroad, had the opportunity to mingle and discuss with professionals from various sectors and explore the potential of future LIFE collaborations. Adding to this, new LIFE stakeholders had the opportunity to meet and chat with experienced Cypriot LIFE beneficiaries and share their concerns and thoughts.
All in all, participants found this event very useful, with a nice mix of participants. An event that truly supported new introductions, meetings and dialogue with experts of different backgrounds.
